Both myclimate and external, independent audits guarantee customers that the purchased CO₂ reductions for energy projects are realised in climate protection projects within two years and discontinued within three years. Carbon storage in forests occurs within 10 to 30 years, depending on the project region and tree species. There are comprehensive, special mechanisms in place to monitor the reductions achieved in forestry.
