myclimate takes third prize in the UNFCCC/CDM international photo contest

A photo of the cable car project in Medellin, Colombia, was recognised by UNFCCC in Doha. The gondolas reduce CO₂ emissions and improve the population's quality of life.

The theme of this year's UNFCCC/CDM photo contest was "Changing Lives". The winners were announced during a ceremony on 29 November at the climate conference in Doha. A photo of the myclimate climate protection project "Cable Cars Metro Medellin, Colombia" took third prize. Congratulations to photographer Jörg M. Grütter, myclimate project owner and project partner. 

 

The cable car lines in Medellin, Colombia, not only reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of the existing traffic infrastructure, thereby improving the air quality in the city, they also help people get around faster, thus allowing them to spend more time with their families.
