In the course of around 70 minutes, the three participants covered the most frequently discussed topics in the area of mobility. Networked mobility was one subject on the agenda, alongside autonomous driving and other disruptive mobility approaches, electromobility, challenges for infrastructure and, generally, the climate protection potential of Swiss mobility.

With regard to the Swiss carbon footprint, both focused on people's individual decisions. "The greatest lever for clean mobility lies in questioning your own mobility," said Patrick Marti. Right at the beginning, Kathrin Amacker asked whether we will need so much mobility in the future as today. In response to the objection by René Estermann that the registration mechanism for mobility to date does not correspond with the zeitgeist of a young, digital generation, Patrick Marti announced a comprehensive update for December of this year. Kathrin Amacker still sees huge requirements in terms of networking. According to her, the launch of the SwissPass was a first step in overcoming the fragmentation of the Swiss mobility market but needs to be followed by a great deal more. At the same time, she emphasised that, through increased digitisation, 30 percent extra mobility could be made possible without great infrastructure developments by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).
