Exchanging, sharing know-how and collaborating for our future – CEN

The newest myclimate educational programme focusses on educators like teachers, group leaders or trainers around the world in the fields of sustainable development and climate protection. Climate Educator Network (CEN) provides them a platform for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences and for mutual inspiration.

New myclimate educational programme for educators: CEN

CEN offers an online platform. Participants create a profile in a few steps. With their finished profile they get the access to the profiles of the existing community members. Like in other social networks CEN community members can start to connect, network and looking for ideas, know-how, inspiration and support for own interactive educational activities.

“CEN facilitates real time online exchanges and enables you, other educators and your groups to share experiences, know-how and collaborate”, says Simone Pulfer, project leader CEN at myclimate. Tenzing Jamyang, educator from Indis/Tibet, explains his motivation for being part of the CEN network: “There are so many people who care about the environment and who really want to do something. I am interest to become part of CEN, to find templates, get individual support and feedback from other educators.”

CEN aims to strengthen educators: Through action-oriented educational activities they can promote skills like systemic thinking, changing perspective or develop and realize solutions. Thereby they encourage their classes, groups and teams to shape the future of our planet. As support, the myclimate educational programme offers methods and activities that can be used to train such skills in many different subjects and tackle topics like energy, food, transport, consumption, life quality or global citizenship.

A few days after the launch of the platform educators from 19 nations have joined CEN. The programme runs under the patronage of the Swiss Commission for UNESCO.
