The Company Challenge is an internal company competition for trainees, in which concrete solutions for more climate protection and energy efficiency are developed and implemented. myclimate trains the trainees in the areas of climate protection and sustainability, helps them come up with ideas and supports them in project development and implementation.
The measures developed can be very diverse. Possible are projects such as the replacement of disposable cups with cups, which play a rather minor role in a corporate eco-balance, but which are important for anchoring sustainability in the corporate culture. A project group has recognized that a lot of cooling energy is consumed at its location in summer, but that better insulation through renovation cannot be implemented in the medium term. For this reason, they have advocated the installation of protective films on windows that filter high-energy solar radiation from the light. Finally, there are projects that start with the processes of the core business, such as the avoidance of receipts through digital alternatives.
The range of possible solutions is wide and not all ideas can be implemented by the trainees. However, there is usually the possibility to include these ideas in the company's internal idea pool or innovation process. The positive effect on the trainees is always guaranteed. They expand their knowledge and get to know the challenges of cross-departmental project work. Self-initiative and creativity are emphasized.
