New educational project "Energy and Climate Pioneers 2.0" launched

"Energy and Climate Pioneers 2.0" is the name of the new educational offer from myclimate. It enables students of the 5th - 8th grade a project-based climate education on the topics of climate protection and energy efficiency. During the project day at school, myclimate encourages the participants to discover their own scope of action in climate protection and to implement the ideas.

Employees from myclimate climate education encourage interested classes to develop and carry out their own project during a free, level-appropriate project day. The focus is on the topics of climate protection and energy efficiency. In this way, the young people become active themselves and with their own ideas for climate protection and energy saving.

This must of course be acknowledged: Once a year, the young climate pioneers of tomorrow are honored for their inventiveness and commitment at the annual energy and climate project competition.

The program is curriculum-compliant, politically neutral, solution-oriented and based on the latest findings from climate science and educational research. With its school-complementary structure, methodological diversity, the knowledge of experts and the involvement of volunteers, the project "Energy and Climate Pioneers 2.0" offers clear added value to normal teaching.

The educational project is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Foundation and Heidehof Foundation within the "Sustainable Learning" program. The "Energy and Climate Pioneers" originally stem from the educational initiative of three myclimate partners in Switzerland: Swisscom, EnergieSchweiz and Solar Impulse.
